چکیده
Our goal is to promote brain health through “bSports” (brain-Sports), a form of social sport competition using brain-machine interfaces. As the core technology, we have been developing an electroencephalography-based cognitive training system, “Neurotrainer,” event-related potential as virtual “mind switch” control games. Here, aimed assess performance Neurotrainer under competitive conditions between players. Fifteen pairs healthy adults, including older people with tendency degrading motor functions, were involved in one-hour session 4 Each player activated mind switch select one eight pictograms his/her robot avatar for its desired action. All players regardless age performed well at level about 85% success rate and reported that they had fun our body-free technologies. These results suggest bSports effective activity can be appreciated by across all generations.

EEG-based Estimation of Cognitive Fatigue
We measured multichannel EEG spectra during a continuous mental arithmetic task and created statistical learning models of cognitive fatigue for single subjects. Sixteen subjects (4 F, 18-38 y) viewed 4-digit problems on a computer, solved the problems, and pressed keys to respond (inter-trial interval = 1 s). Subjects performed until either they felt exhausted or three hours had elapsed. Prean...

This document presents the results of six years (from 2005 to 2011) of trials in primary schools of different chess training strategies and a study of the relationship between chess training and improved skills and abilities of child...
متن کاملFeasibility of computerized brain plasticity-based cognitive training after traumatic brain injury.
The present study investigates the feasibility and utility of using a computerized brain plasticity-based cognitive training (BPCT) program as an intervention for community-dwelling individuals with traumatic brain injury (TBI). In a pre-post pilot study, 10 individuals with mild to severe TBI who were 6 mo to 22 yr postinjury were asked to use a computerized BPCT intervention-designed to impro...
متن کاملGame-based training of flexibility and attention improves task-switch performance: near and far transfer of cognitive training in an EEG study
There is a demand for ways to enhance cognitive flexibility, as it can be a limiting factor for performance in daily life. Video game training has been linked to advantages in cognitive functioning, raising the question if training with video games can promote cognitive flexibility. In the current study, we investigated if game-based computerized cognitive training (GCCT) could enhance cognitiv...
